“HarleyDave74” Concedes Foursquare Mayorship of Local Subway Restaurant

Controversial Foursquare mayor David “HarleyDave74” Springman conceded his two month term as mayor of the159th and Fraser Highway Subway location. Springman made the news public this past friday, releasing a statement in lieu of speaking publicly, as he “was still emotional about the decision” adding that he also “had to work [that] day”
In his statement, Springman thanked his supporters, stating that “[he] will miss [them] even more than [his] $2 mayoral discount on any breakfast sandwich”.
“The public has spoken. Which is to say, the public has decided to support an electoral system based solely on frequency of visits to a retail location”.
Springman’s reign ends amidst growing controversy over a recent tip that accused him of checking in at a Quiznos. Springman denied the accusation, along with the inference that he had been working covertly to obtain the “Sandwich Aficionado” badge.
The incumbent mayor, Jason “$IMONABOAT$” Kellerman, already faces a scandal of his own, as many constituents feel his being in office represents a conflict of interest as he is currently employed by said Subway location.
